Purchasing is a critical part of any manufacturing organization. It’s not just about ordering the right products and components; the buying department is mainly responsible for a correctly managed inventory level. If you are good in what you do, our operations departments can do their jobs without any delay or deviations.

Task & responsibilities

As a Buyer, you make an important contribution to AME's commitment towards customer by ensuring materials are on time at AME at agreed price and quality with the correct information processed in the system. You are responsible for orders from AME’s versatile purchasing portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Checking, adjusting and processing order forms and confirmations.
• Maintaining accurate information regarding order data in AME's system (SAP).
• Reviewing deliveries against the orders and tracking status of any orders.
• Maintaining close contacts with internal stakeholders to coordinate quantities to be ordered, stock level and safety stocks.
• Deal with non-supplies, under orders, over orders and damaged goods.
• Researching and analyzing supplier prices and conditions in the market and make suppliers selection.
• Contacting and negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers.
• Building and Maintaining relationship with suppliers.
• Conducting Supplier (Business Review) meetings.

This position could be an ideal step up into the world of purchasing. Whether it be a first step for a fresh graduate (Industrial Engineering or Logistics) or an evolution for an ambitious logistically operations professional, there is plenty of ground to be developed here.
