Key Account Manager

    • Eindhoven, Netherlands
  • Staff

Job description

As a Key Account Manager, you have a strong impact on AME’s customer satisfaction level, the contribution to our company's commercial success and the ability to realize future growth. You are in charge of successfully managing the relations with our key accounts and further developing these accounts.

Your tasks

Managing, developing and maintaining our (key) accounts is at the base of your daily operations. Your customer portfolio is a combination of one major customer (high revenue, high complexity), about three relatively bigger customers (high revenue, less complexity) and several smaller upcoming customers. Across these companies, you manage the different relevant DMU’s, ranging from purchasing to C-level executives.

These existing customers all have active running business with AME. In most cases, this entails active manufacturing projects. You are in close touch with your contacts about possible lifecycle management, upgrades or different versions of current projects. Identifying new business, focusing on your existing customer portfolio is a second nature for you.

Currently, creating alignment on tactical and strategical expectations between customers and AME is ongoing daily business for our sales team. Managing these expectations will therefor be a major part of your day. As we are a compact sales team (Key Account Managers, Business Development managers and Sales Coordinators), you rely on yourself to get things done.

Summarizing, you are responsible for:

  • Managing an existing portfolio of international business-to-business key accounts;
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with them; you are the first point of contact and/or escalation;
  • Identifying new business opportunities, focusing on the existing customer portfolio;
  • Managing and negotiating about offers and contracts;
  • Bringing the right internal and external stakeholders together to ensure successful offer and customer business management;
  • A successful transfer of a new project from sales to project management;
  • Attending and representing AME at events, fairs, conferences and seminars.

  • Bachelors’ (or Masters’) degree in a commercial, business or technical field
