CNC Operator

At AME, we develop and manufacture innovative, high-quality products by combining electronics, mechanics, software, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

As a CNC Machinist, you are responsible for producing high-precision components and tooling within our mechanical manufacturing environment. You work with a modern CNC machine park and ensure that parts are machined accurately according to technical drawings, specifications, and required tolerances.

What you’ll do

• Operate and set up CNC machines, including 5-axis simultaneous milling, Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), Wire EDM, and precision grinding.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, including dimensions, shapes, and tolerances.

• Prepare machines, tools, and programs for production.

• Check machined parts to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards.

• Identify when adjustments or additions to CNC programs are required and discuss these with the CAM programmer.

• Perform daily maintenance on machines and tools to ensure a safe and reliable working environment.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of machining processes and ways of working.

Who are you?

• MBO-level vocational education or equivalent working experience.

• Experience with CNC machining and machining operations, preferably milling, grinding, and/or drilling.

• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.

• Accurate and quality-focused, with an eye for detail and precision.

• Practical and hands-on, with a willingness to work with different machining technologies.

• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues.

• Good command of English, both spoken and written.
