Job description

As a Test Engineer, you play a key role in ensuring that our products are tested reliably and effectively. You develop customized test systems for new products and processes, while analyzing technical challenges, identifying root causes, and developing robust solutions.
Working within the Test & Automation Development group, you collaborate closely with project teams to translate product requirements into effective test solutions. You take ownership of technical challenges, identify risks early, and make well-founded technical decisions. You are someone who values quality over quantity and understands that a well-designed test system is essential to delivering reliable products.
What you’ll do
Develop and improve customized test systems for new products and manufacturing processes.
Analyze technical problems, investigate root causes, and develop effective and sustainable solutions.
Translate product and customer requirements into effective test strategies, specifications, and test solutions.
Identify technical risks early and define appropriate measures to mitigate them.
Take ownership of the technical design, realization, validation, verification, qualification, and documentation of test systems.
Make technical decisions within your area of expertise and independently solve complex or unclear problems.
Perform pre-studies, feasibility investigations, and problem analyses to support technical and project decisions.
Apply Design for Testing principles and contribute to FMEA and other technical or safety risk assessments.
Ensure test systems meet relevant quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Support the deployment of test systems into production and provide second-line support for troubleshooting and improvement.
Share knowledge, apply lessons learned, and contribute to improving test development practices.
Job requirements
Your profile
BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related technical field.
Preferably 5+ years of relevant experience in test development, test engineering, hardware development, or a comparable technical environment.
Strong technical background in electronics and/or mechatronics.
Experience with developing, validating, and qualifying automated or industrial test systems.
Good understanding of test strategies, test coverage, automated testing, and Design for Testing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate root causes and develop practical solutions.
Able to independently analyze complex or unfamiliar technical challenges and make well-founded technical decisions.
Experience with technical specifications, verification, validation, and risk analysis.
Quality-focused and able to balance technical depth with practical project requirements.
Comfortable taking ownership and working independently within project-based environments.
Strong communicator who can collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across different disciplines.
Experience guiding or mentoring Junior and Medior Engineers.
Fluent in English.
