QESH Officer

As a QESH Officer, you help AME maintain and continuously improve compliance across the organization. You support compliance with applicable legislation, management-system standards, cybersecurity requirements, ESG requirements, and Health & Safety requirements.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you play an important role in monitoring new or changed requirements, coordinating follow-up actions and ensuring that compliance activities, documentation, and evidence are well organized and up to date.

You will work with all departments across the organization and collaborate with external specialists, certification bodies, and other relevant stakeholders. You may be a good fit for this role if you are interested in compliance, are comfortable approaching people, asking questions, following up on actions, and raising concerns when requirements may not be met. You will gradually build your knowledge of AME's Integrated Management System, standards, legislation, and audit processes while taking increasing ownership of your responsibilities.

*This is a part-time position of 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week).

What you’ll do

• Monitor new or changed applicable legislation, standards, customer requirements, cybersecurity requirements, and ESG requirements; assess their relevance and potential impact for AME.

• Coordinate compliance activities and follow up on actions needed to maintain or achieve compliance, including keeping evidence and documentation up to date.

• Support the implementation and maintenance of AME's Integrated Management System, including compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO/IEC 27001, IEC 62443, and relevant ESG requirements.

• Support and advise managers and colleagues on the practical application of applicable Health & Safety requirements, procedures, and improvement actions.

• Help organize and document emergency preparedness activities, such as evacuation exercises, first-aid/BHV arrangements, and follow-up of identified improvements.

• Monitor Health & Safety-related risks, incidents, trends, and outstanding actions, and report relevant findings and improvement opportunities to the Quality Manager and relevant stakeholders.

• Support the coordination of EcoVadis activities, including evidence collection, assessments, and follow-up actions.

• Maintain the planning of internal and external audits.

• Support and gradually take responsibility for conducting internal audits, and coordinate and facilitate certification, customer, supplier, and other external audits, including preparation, communication, documentation, and follow-up of audit findings.

• Report on compliance status, risks, gaps, and outstanding actions to the Quality Manager and relevant stakeholders.

• Support continuous improvement and the transition towards more efficient and automated ways of monitoring, planning, and reporting compliance activities.

• Use a critical and accurate approach to identify potential non-compliance and help ensure that AME can demonstrate compliance with applicable requirements.

Your profile

• HBO/Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field. A technical background is preferred, but a business-oriented background can also be a good fit.

• 0–2 years of relevant experience in compliance, quality, auditing, management systems, ESG, or a related field. Experience is a plus, but motivation and willingness to learn are more important.

• Basic understanding of compliance, management systems, ESG, auditing, or occupational Health & Safety.

• Strong attention to detail and an accurate, structured way of working.

• Critical mindset and the ability to identify inconsistencies, risks, or possible non-compliance.

• Comfortable working independently, taking ownership of actions, and following up with others to get things done.

• Confident communicating with people at all levels of the organization and not afraid to ask questions or challenge decisions when necessary.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

• Experience with AI tools is a plus, but not required.

• Fluent in English.
