Your role
As Team Leader Production Engineering, you lead and develop a team of approximately 12 Production Engineers. Your team plays a crucial role in enabling Operations to deliver high-quality products efficiently and reliably.
You combine people leadership with strong technical expertise, ensuring that manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflows are robust, scalable, and continuously improving. At the same time, you focus on developing the team’s capabilities and preparing the organization for future growth.
Key responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Production Engineers (line management responsibility)
Define priorities, allocate resources, and ensure effective execution of team activities
Drive the industrialization of new products and production (test) equipment (NPI)
Ensure availability, performance, and reliability of production equipment and tooling
Oversee timely and correct execution of maintenance activities
Optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and work instructions
Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, R&D, and Supply Chain
Take joint responsibility (with Production and other Team Leaders) for quality and performance of production lines
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in quality, efficiency, and sustainability
Contribute to the further development of the Production Engineering function and team structure
Job requirements
Who you are
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or similar)
Solid experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or industrialization
Proven experience in leading or coaching a technical team
Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
Strong communication skills and ability to influence and align stakeholders
Hands-on, solution-oriented, and able to drive change
Structured and analytical mindset
Fluent in English (Dutch is a strong plus)
