Key Account Manager

    • Eindhoven, Netherlands
  • Staff

Job description

As a Key Account Manager at AME, you play a key role in building long-term partnerships with our customers and contributing to AME’s commercial growth. This is not a role focused on quick transactions or standard products. At AME, we work as a technology and manufacturing partner to our customers, helping them bring high-quality electronic products from idea to realization.

In this role, you manage and further develop an existing portfolio of international B2B customers. Your portfolio includes one major customer with high revenue and complexity, several larger accounts, and a number of smaller customers with growth potential. Across these accounts, you build strong relationships with different stakeholders, from purchasing and engineering to senior management.

To be successful, you need more than commercial experience. You need to understand your customers, but also AME from the inside. You work closely with colleagues in R&D, Operations, Project Management, Manufacturing and Sales to create realistic solutions, align expectations and make sure we deliver what we promise.

At AME, your contribution is visible. You will work in a passionate, entrepreneurial and technology-driven organization where people genuinely care about what they do and where initiative makes a real difference.

Your tasks

Managing and developing our key accounts is at the core of your role. You maintain close relationships with customers, understand their needs and identify opportunities for further collaboration and growth.

You act as the connecting link between the customer and AME. This means bringing the right people together, asking the right questions and creating alignment between customer expectations and AME’s technical and operational possibilities.

Summarizing, you are responsible for:

  • Managing an existing portfolio of international B2B key accounts;

  • Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships;

  • Acting as first point of contact and escalation for your customers;

  • Identifying new business opportunities across both existing and new customers;

  • Understanding customer needs and translating them into realistic commercial and technical opportunities;

  • Managing and negotiating offers, contracts and commercial agreements;

  • Creating alignment between customers and internal stakeholders in R&D, Operations, Project Management and Manufacturing;

  • Ensuring a successful transfer of new projects from Sales to Project Management;

  • Representing AME at customer meetings, events, fairs, conferences and seminars.

Job requirements

Who are you?

You are a commercially strong relationship builder with an interest in technology and manufacturing. You enjoy working with customers and understand that successful account management starts internally by connecting stakeholders and knowing what is realistic to promise.

You focus on building trust and long-term partnerships, communicate clearly and work well with different personalities and departments.

You will probably recognize yourself in the following:

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a commercial, business or technical direction;

  • You bring several years of B2B commercial experience, preferably in technical manufacturing, electronics, EMS, high-tech, industrial automation or a related environment;

  • You understand long-term customer relationships, complex sales cycles and stakeholder management;

  • You have affinity with electronics, technology and manufacturing;

  • You are fluent in Dutch and English; German is a plus;

  • You live within a reasonable commuting distance from Eindhoven or are willing to travel to AME;

  • You take initiative, ask questions and know how to bring people together.

Who are we?

AME is a growing organization focused on developing and manufacturing innovative, high-quality electronic products. By combining expertise in electronics, mechanics, software and manufacturing, we deliver integrated solutions for our customers.

We work on a wide range of technologies, including IoT, Power Conversion and Sensing & Actuating, and stand out through our integrated approach and high level of automation.

At AME, customers find more than a supplier. They find a partner that thinks along with them, challenges ideas when needed and supports them throughout the product lifecycle.

Why join AME?

Working at AME means working in a high-tech environment where your contribution matters. We are proud of our technology, but also of the people behind it. Across departments, you will find colleagues who are passionate about their work and who want to achieve results together.

You can expect:

  • An inspiring, open, direct and entrepreneurial working culture;

  • A high-tech environment where electronics, mechanics, software and manufacturing come together;

  • The opportunity to work with customers and complex technological products;

  • A role with real ownership, visibility and impact;

  • Short communication lines and a flat organizational structure;

  • Many opportunities for personal and professional growth;

  • A company phone, including private usage.

At AME, your work does not disappear into a large corporate structure. Your ideas, your customer relationships and your contribution are visible. If you are looking for a role where commercial responsibility, technology and impact come together, we would like to meet you.
