Your daily job

As a Project Manager Industrialization at AME, you are responsible for leading industrialization projects from design freeze to successful start of production and ramp-up.

You act as the connecting link between Product Development, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Quality, ensuring new products are introduced into production in a stable, scalable, and efficient way. Product designs may come from AME Product Development or directly from customers.

In this role, you:

  • Lead end-to-end industriali zation projects covering electronics assemblies, plastic injection moulding, and final assembly (box build)

  • Translate product and business requirements into structured industrialization plans including scope, milestones, risks, budget, resources, and deliverables

  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain

  • Drive the realization of production tooling and equipment, including:

    • Test setups and test equipment (EOL and functional testing)

    • Jigs and fixtures

    • Moulds, tooling parts, and supporting production aids

  • Ensure DFM/DFA/DFT alignment by identifying manufacturability and testability risks early and coordinating improvements with engineering teams

  • Manage the transfer to production, including process readiness, work instructions, pilot builds, operator training, and ramp-up activities

  • Align supply chain readiness, including production planning, supplier coordination, logistics agreements, and capacity requirements

  • Support quality readiness through control plans, FMEA alignment, validation and verification activities, deviation management, and change control

  • Communicate project progress, risks, and key decisions to both internal stakeholders and customers

Job requirements

Who are you?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field

  • Several years of experience in project management within industrialization, manufacturing, NPI, or high-tech production environments

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production ramp-up, and industrialization activities

  • Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills

  • Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented way of working

  • Comfortable leading multidisciplinary teams and driving alignment without direct hierarchical responsibility

  • Experience with stage-gate or structured product development processes is considered a strong plus

  • Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus
