As a Production Engineer you are responsible for controlling and improving AME's production processes in the field of mechatronics and/or electronics manufacturing. It is your role to analyze and maintain our running processes and to identify (potential) bottlenecks. You are the first point of contact (and critical sparring partner) for Operators and Team Leaders concerning process quality and continuous improvement of our processes. Our Production Engineering team has an equipment focus. 

You are responsible for preparation of New Product Introductions (NPIs) and will therefore review tool and product design for manufacturing. Validating and releasing NPIs, equipment and tooling maintenance schedules, process improvements and control plans will be part of your activities as well.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Preparing, executing and validating New Product Introductions (NPI's).
  • Defining, organizing and executing process maintenance schedules.
  • Organization and preparation of tooling activities.
  • Supporting in and executing of all Operator activities.
  • Setting up training manuals.
  • Training people on machine and process knowledge and practical usage.
  • Registration of qualifications and skills for Operators.
  • Contributing to process improvements.

Job requirements

Required skills

  • MBO+ / Bachelor degree (Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics) 
  • 0 – 5 years of working experience within production engineering
  • Keen eye for efficiency / quality
  • Ability to deal with abstract matter
  • You are a great team player.
  • Good communicative skills
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (writing and verbally)
  • Systematic and structured approach and logical thinking ability
  • Solution oriented 
  • Hands one mentality
