Tasks and responsibilities

The Product Life Cycle (PLC) Manager contributes to AME's overall success, managing and successfully maintaining & optimizing industrialized products and processes.

The Product Life Cycle Manager is responsible for:

  • Leading and managing minor product changes;
  • Running business management (including obsolescence control);
  • Defining & leading cost-down projects for processes and products related to design changes in production;
  • Overlooking (electronics) manufacturing services product introductions;
  • Managing problem solving of the 8D’s that are related to running business;
  • Being in close contact with our customer and supply base (varying from dynamic start-ups to large multinationals);
  • Leading and motivating multidisciplinary project teams and production; unlocking the full potential of each individual team member;
  • Being a motivator for continues improvement in his span of control.

Job requirements

Required skills

  • Several years of product and/or project management experience, with a strong focus on (Product) Life Cycle Management;
  • High level of affinity with all our main technical disciplines: hardware (electronics), software and mechanics;
  • Pragmatic and solution oriented attitude;
  • Keen eye on quality and costs;
  • A real team player;
  • Strong communication and organization skills; you are able to prioritize, communicate and defend choices towards Project Review Board;
  • Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus;
