Business Development Manager - Sustainable Energy Products

Your challenge

Finding new business is what makes you smile! As Business Development Manager (BDM), you create and expand our business line in sustainable energy. The best example of products is our product line in EV chargers. You act as our chief evangelist in this topic, to make sure (potential) customers know the added value AME has!

Your tasks

Creating business is easier said than done. As any sales person knows, you would have to sow before you can harvest. This means being active in the market, visiting customers and expos. As the entire world needs to switch from fossil to EV, the market is open for new solutions.

AME has developed a line of white label and custom EV chargers for both professional and domestic use. As the product line is ready to be rolled out across the market, we need you to prepare and develop the market with us.

As Business Development Manager, you really own “your” product lines. You run your own business within the rest of the company. This means acting as a Product Manager, combining knowledge of the field with feedback from the business, you define the roadmap. Also, you act as the main contact point to your customers.

The job title isn’t that important to us. Whether you call it Business Development Manager, Business Unit Manager or Sales Account Manager, what matters is that you energize the market for our solutions!

That said, the ideal Business Development manager Sustainable Energy Products has a profile like this:

  • Strong sales background, having developed new business for several years
  • Educational level of at least Bachelors, preferably in a technical field
  • Experience in writing and executing sales/marketing plans for product lines
  • Having worked in the (sustainable) energy field before, you know your way around the network
  • Fluent in English and preferably in Dutch

As a person, you are:

  • Strong communicator, able to speak with people from different backgrounds and cultures
  • Negotiation and deal closing skills
  • Cooperative, you know you can’t do this without the rest of the organization
  • Charismatic, people remember you and the message you once brought!
