Tasks and responsibilities

As a Data & Business Architect – Business Intelligence, you are responsible for developing and maintaining one of our core tools. The core tools we use in our organization are SAP ECC 6.0, SAP Business Objects, our Product Data Management (PDM) tool and our Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

Within this role, you are mainly focused on SAP Business Objects, the Business Intelligence tool that is used at AME. The main focus in this function is on deploying initiatives and the following up on requests from the managers of several disciplines.

  • Maintaining (functional and/or technical) one of AME's core information systems (SAP Business Objects).
  • Overlooking and implementing developments within this core information system.
  • Processing and combining structured and unstructured data, transferring it into usable information and insights, by applying different techniques.
  • Support the determination and definition of critical deliverables for business intelligence, operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives coming from within the organization.
  • Improving business processes by translating requirements into standardized, automated and integrated processes.
  • Creating detailed and structured requirement-, technical- and acceptance documentation of proposed concepts (e.g. FS, TS, FAT).
  • Upgrade SAP Business Objects BI 4.1 to SAP Business Objects BI 4.2

    • You have strong analytical capabilities
    • You have the knowledge and communicative skills to build a bridge between business and IT
    • You are able to set the right priorities and accordingly act decisively
    • You are able to bring relevant stakeholders together and you are able to put yourself in their position
    • You know how to quickly identify needs and translate those needs into a ready-to-use IT solution
    • Fluent in English, Dutch is a big plus
    • You are solution-driven and possess a strong sense of responsibility
    • Preferred technical skills:
      • SAP Business Objects BI platform 4.1
      • SAP BODS 4.2
      • Information/Universe Design Tool (semantic layer’universes)
      • WEBI for reporting
      • Microsoft SQL server
      • Data Manipulation techniques (Matlab/Phyton/SQL)
